Joel was larger than life.
The kind of bloke you couldn’t miss even if you tried. Funny, loud, magnetic. He could walk into a room of complete strangers and somehow leave with best mates — real ones — the kind you’d trust your back to.
Everyone who knew him has a story. Always a funny one. Always entertaining. The kind you laugh through even now, because that’s just who he was. Joel was the story. The moment. The memory people still tell with a shake of the head and a smile.
He would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice, even when he had nothing left to give. He loved hard. Too hard. He carried everyone else’s weight and never asked anyone to carry his.
Joel felt everything deeply. The good, the bad, the heavy stuff. He was the first to show up, the last to leave, the one who made sure everyone else was okay — even when he wasn’t.
He was fiercely loyal, endlessly generous, and unapologetically himself. A father, a brother, a son, a mate. Someone people leaned on. Someone people needed.
And now he’s gone, and the hole he’s left is brutal. The world didn’t just lose a person — it lost a presence. A laugh. A protector. A heart too big for the weight of this world
